This customer had sub-surface and surface water issues. The large roof plane, coupled with downspouts, definitely exacerbated the problem. We installed a French drain, as well as separate drainage for downspouts, and routed everything to the retention pond. Problem solved!
This was a fun project. We coupled a retaining wall with a fence to create one structure. There is a French drain at the base of the wall to prevent hydro-static pressure. We then leveled the yard and placed sod. We also routed some downspouts underground to channel harmful water away from the home’s foundation.
