This customer had sub-surface and surface water issues. The large roof plane, coupled with downspouts, definitely exacerbated the problem. We installed a French drain, as well as separate drainage for downspouts, and routed everything to the retention pond. Problem solved!
This was a fun project. We coupled a retaining wall with a fence to create one structure. There is a French drain at the base of the wall to prevent hydro-static pressure. We then leveled the yard and placed sod. We also routed some downspouts underground to channel harmful water away from the home’s foundation.
A sump pump, multiple catch basins, and a grate drain ensure this customer’s water issues are a thing of the past! Downspouts are routed into the underground pipe to protect flower beds and the foundation. Captured water is pumped to the street….100′ away!
We guttered this entire home to protect the foundation. All of the downspouts are routed to the street (85′) with SDR35-sewer grade pipe. This yard won’t be soggy anytime soon!
The dark brown gutters that we installed on this beautiful home really set the roof line off! The tan, cream and brown look sharp. Gutters are an affordable way to protect your home’s foundation, and when the right color is chosen, they can actually improve the look of your home!
